Keputusan Penilaian RUI Kitaran Sept 2011

Assalamualaikum,

Pejabat Pelantar Penyelidikan Sains Kesihatan & Bioperubatan mengucapkan jutaan terima kasih atas kesudian tuan/puan memohon geran penyelidikan universiti (RU)pada kitaran Sept 2011 yang lepas.

Pihak kami berharap tuan/puan tidak patah semangat walaupun mendapat surat dukacita daripada RCMO. Kami diperingkat pelantar telah mencuba terbaik mungkin untuk memastikan proposal tuan/puan adalah terbaik. Namun universiti telah menetapkan peraturan (buat masa sekarang) geran RU adalah geran yang competitive dan proposal yang terbaik diantara yang terbaik akan berjaya diberikan  untuk geran penyelidikan. Untuk makluman tuan/puan, proposal RU tuan/puan telah dinilai oleh penilai-penilai yang mempunyai pengalaman penyelidikan yang lama dan pakar dalam bidang-bidang yang tuan/puan pohon. Penilaian di lakukan dengan melihat kepada beberapa kriteria seperti completeness of application, merit of research, capability of co-researcher dan sebagainya.

Untuk makluman tuan/puan juga, tuan/puan boleh memohon sekali lagi untuk geran RU ini pada kitaran April 2012. Tuan/puan boleh berhubung dengan pejabat pelantar atau hubungi Dekan untuk sebarang pertanyaan.

Dear all,

We are urgently looking for 1 MSc. and 1 Ph.D candidate who is interested in 
the field of Molecular Microbiology (Enteric Diseases Research Cluster).

The details are as below:
Scope of research: Molecular Diagnostics in Infectious Diseases (Molecular and fundamental studies 
on specific biomakers of Shigella and development of sustainable diagnostics for shigellosis)
Qualification: Bachelor of Science 
(Biomedical/MLT/Biotechnology/Biology/any related field) with CGPA >3.0.

Research Grants

Geran Jangka Pendek/Short Term Grant


The Short Term Research Grants serve to promote, encourage and support research activities of the academic staff of the university directed towards the expansion of knowledge, discovery of ideas and creation of new products, services, processes and/or tools. It is hoped that through these activities, the university would realise its mission and vision to become a centre of excellence for research and education.
The Short Term Research Grants supports Research & Innovation projects which can generate new knowledge in strategic basic and applied sciences, and developed new products or processes necessary for further development and commercialisation in specific research cluster. It is also aimed at generating more research capabilities and expertise within the country.
Objective
Specific objectives of these grants are as follows:
  • To finance research activities in full or in part which will create, promote, enhance and preserve Universiti Sains Malaysia pre-eminence as a leading institute or a centre of excellence in selected fields (foresight programmes).
  • To support short term research activities which are deemed important and significant in supporting teaching activities.
  • To assist in the development of new and emerging knowledge, processes, techniques, products or tools.
  • To enhance co-operation between university staff and industry.
  • To promote national human resource development in R&D.
